The TL 9000 Individual Certification Exam is for persons wishing to satisfy the knowledge requirement for certification as a TL 9000 Practitioner or TL 9000 Expert.
This roughly one hour exam consists of two parts. The first part covers the TL 9000 Requirements and Implementation. The second part covers the TL 9000 Measurements. Both consist of 45 questions each. A score of at least 80% is needed to pass.

This is the test-out option for the Third Party Auditor Mandatory eLearning course. There is a time limit of four (4) hours to complete 120 questions. The four hours must be continuous; it is not possible to pause the exam once it is started. The examination is open book and it is recommended that users have access to the TL 9000 Requirements R6 and Measurements R5.0 Handbooks (plus R5.5 addendum), ISO/IEC 19011:2011, ISO/IES ISO/IEC 17021-1:2015 , and Code of Practice for the TL 9000 Certification Process r7.2 available on www.tl9000.org . If the exam is not successfully passed, the user must take the full course and will receive a $99 coupon to apply to the cost of the course. Users should ensure they have access to a reliable internet connection before beginning the exam. Passing score for the exam is 75%.

The Third Party Auditor Mandatory eLearning course is required for all Third Party auditors who do not elect the test-out option or do not pass it. The course consists of four (4) modules with a quiz at the end of each module. The course takes several hours to complete, however it is possible to exit and re-enter the course. Following the course the user must complete an examination. The examination is open book and it is recommended that users have access to the TL 9000 Requirements R6 and Measurements R5.0 Handbooks (plus R5.5 addendum), ISO/IEC 19011:2011, ISO/IES 17025:2015, and Code of Practice for the TL 9000 Certification Process r7.2 available on www.tl9000.org .
